Comparison between CEN/TS 1793-5 and NFS 31089 for in-situ reflection

This section presents a comparison between the NFS 31089 method and CEN/TS 1793-5 concerning in-situ measurements of sound reflection. The diagrams below show the comparison for measurements of sound reflection. For the CEN/TS 1793-5 method the analysis has been performed in two different ways: first considering only data in the frequency range from 200Hz to 5kHz as foreseen in CEN/TS 1793-5, secondly considering also data measured in a restricted frequency range (in most cases from 315 to 5 kHz). The coloured dotted points represent the values of the single number rating for each method and barrier category. The white area represents the so-called violin plot, which shows a kernel density estimation of the probability density of the data.
